Location: remote from home until safe to return to office. Normally at 1422 Edinger Ave., Tustin CA 92780.Work hours are 8am - 5pm with a one-hour lunch break. Work schedule can be flexible. Occasionally need to work during the weekend.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $38,000-$45,000/year depending on qualifications. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, paid holidays (10 days/year) and paid time off, 401(k) with company match starting at 1st work anniversary.

Primary responsibilities:
Assist in the monitor of product shipment from overseas to the United States.
Update tracking of shipments to our system and communicate to customers and service providers.
Assist in providing courteous and timely customer service; effectively troubleshoot and resolve problems that may arise
Contact third party vendors for ground transport quotes and secure the best options
Assist in arranging and monitoring closely the movement of products from multiple ports of entry to warehouses throughout the country
Help minimize penalties and fees charged by ocean carriers, third party vendors, warehouses, etc. by proactive negotiations and ensuring follow through.
Process support documentation for claims that are directly related to carriers and warehousing Check the accuracy of bills related to shipments and warehousing
Participate in training and implementation of new system and other operational best practices
Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive operational, customers, suppliers and vendors information
Comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines
Timely report and alert management of potential and/or existing problems.
Perform any additional duties related to improving the business and/ or the business processes
Actively participate in company meetings
Report to Office Supervisor and Vice President of Operations

Qualifications:
Must be fluent in English. Strong communication skills in speaking and writing. Spanish is a plus but not required.
Must have strong organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to multi-task and work integrity.
1-2 years relevant experience in logistics. Experience with frozen seafood is a plus but not required.
Experience with import and/or export and distribution of goods is preferred.
Demonstrate strong interest in logistics/global supply chain; strong desire to learn and can handle fast pace, large work volume with a high degree of accuracy
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), PDF, and Google Drive.
