SOS-Safety is an international industrial and fire safety distributor since 1991, representing over 40 Brands such as: 3M, Honeywell and Task Force Tips. We are operating out of Florida, distributing products primarily across the Americas and Caribbean. As we experience unprecedented growth during these times, it is imperative that we have a well experienced professional capable of handling numerous variable situations in the outbound logistics field.
The work will not be done in office, but instead from the comfort of your home.
This position is not for entry level applicants.
We are looking for an experienced professional that can accomplish the following tasks without any supplemental training:
Full Gamut Procurement You'll oversee purchasing from our vendors in the industrial and fire safety sectors. As well as Identifying and working with potential freight forwarders, depending on the provided Incoterms, to ensure that the appropriate parts are in-
Stock, ordered, and/or received at the appropriate time to have the service
operations run efficiently.
Product Invoicing You'll be responsible for billing our clients. Our
clients may ask questions, so you are expected to be able to answer high level
questions on invoices. Full in-depth knowledge of QuickBooks is essential.
Shipping/Receiving We have product that needs to get from A to B. You'll be
asked to make that happen. Track everything and report statuses to the team
Documentation Collection- Ensuring that all proper documentation is collected and reviewed during/after each shipment. Majority of our supply chain is handled via freight, air and ground transport, in depth knowledge of these processes is important to have.
International Customs - We are an international company that will be dealing with shipping from the U.S towards all of the Americas and Caribbean. Command of the Spanish language is a plus!
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree, preferably in Supply Chain, International Business or Business Administration is preferred, but not required.
5-7+ years experience within supply chain operations.
In-depth knowledge regarding the documentation process when working with a freight forwarder. Please include your experience with this in your application.
Knowledge of creating shipping labels from multiple different sources.
Experience with using QuickBooks is extremely important, All Billing/Invoicing is recorded here.
Basic knowledge using Microsoft Outlook and Excel is required, as most work will be done through these venues.
Basic knowledge of what Incoterms are and how they work is required.
An assertive attitude is important in making sure that any errors made by 3rd parties are corrected by them and compensated accordingly.
Extreme organizational skills:
o Any order status inquiry made should be responded to rapidly.
o Any delays made by 3rd parties should be followed up on consistently.
Most important of all:
o An eye for even the smallest of details. One small mistake can result in major financial losses for the company. Always double check your work.
In addition to this job being available fully remotely from 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday, we are also offering the following:
Paid Holidays - You'll get paid for 9 holidays without even showing up to work!
You'll get to pick either MLK or President's Day, plus Memorial Day, 4th of July,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Good Friday, two days at Christmas, and New
Year's Day.
Additional PTO - You get 15 additional paid personal days off per year - you can use them if you're sick or for a vacation.
Yearly Raises guaranteed according to inflation + performance.
Health insurance and 401(k) benefits are available for those interested as well.
